Walters' in the woods

This past weekend we took our annual camping trip to Cades Cove with some wonderful friends. We had such a great time. The weather was perfect, we were able to swim in the creek, cooked over the campfire, had smores, and everyone slept great the entire time. If you have ever been to Cades Cove, you know that riding the loop to see the wildlife is a highlight. There are horses, turkey, deer, bear to name a few of the animals. We always see lots of deer and turkey, however this year was extra special. We saw bears...not just a few, but 27! That's right-27 bear sightings. It was a record. We were able to see cubs with their momma's, too. Hope and I are going to pick out some pictures to show you just how close we were able to get to the bear-one was so close that we didn't get out of the car and it felt like we could have touched him through the window. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
OK...having trouble uploading photos-will add them soon!

So cool! We ended up there by accident last October...it really is beautiful!
