OK...so last weekend we were sledding..this weekend we were celebrating Hope's 6th brithday with a carnival theme, out at camp. The weather was perfect-low 60's and sunny! This was Hope's first "kid" birthday party and most of her class came-let's just say that I made 20 goodie bags and there were none left (and Hunter some how didn't get one).

The carnival was a success, thanks to all the friends and family who were there helping out! We had a bean bag toss, ball toss, tic-tac-toe, the grand prize game, silly photo booth, facepainting-a huge it success and a bouce house-an even bigger success! The kids loved it. My favorite part was the "popcorn" cupcakes I made! Hope did inform me today that she wished we had the popcorn machine set up "in a maze type thing where we had to find it". Nice. We try :)

Hope got some wonderful presents and she couldn't wait to dig in to them on Sunday-she wanted to bake in her Easy Bake oven, vacuum with her new vacuum (she and Hunter fought over this), hula hooped, colored a new bag, played with her barbies and new My Little Pony toys, read a new book-which, ironically had written in the front cover "to Evan, Merry Christmas 2008, love Grandma and Grandpa", she practiced writing in her new cursive tablet, and got to spend her Walmart gift card (on a new doctor set-Craig and I have been checked so much, we should be very healthy). I know there is more, but this was all within a day!
Kerry and Joshua got to spend the weekend with us and that was so much fun! The kids did amazingly well playing together and just laughed and ran around and just enjoyed each others company. I am not sure who was more sad that they had to go back to Atlanta, them or us.
