I love this time of year! No, really, I do! I love the emotions and the true "feeling" that comes with it! I only wish we could have these warm feelings deep within our souls year round. Of course, then we might not appreciate them when we do get them if we had them all the time.
Hope and Hunter work on baking cookies-something like 12 dozen were made this year! We have been able to share with friends, family and neighbors!
Our house is all decorated and the excitement is building! Grandaddy and Nonna are coming for Christmas this year-we are super excited to not be traveling. Christmas morning will be so much fun with Grandaddy, Nonna, Uncle Todd, and all four of us-I even heard that we might get a surprise visit from Jess on Christmas day!
Christmas day will mark the 1 year anniversary that Papasan was able to join Gramma in heaven. I know that it is different and could even be sad without him, but to think that he is with Gramma and all his family that have entered the Golden Gates just warms my soul. So, with that peace of mind, I will not be sad and there will not be tears of mourning-I will be happy and full of joy for him! What a wonderful Christmas gift he received last year and is enjoying daily!
This season usually does something to me-reaches deep in my souls and touches my emotions. I typically tear up at the sweet coffee or this year it is the Belk commercial. I just love the wonderful feelings of love these commercials portray. In these times, I am very thankful for the love of my family!
