I am not ready for my baby girl to grow up...

We had SO MUCH fun on St. Patricks Day! The kids made a trap the day before and I made green cake balls and mint Oreo truffles (yes, they were SUPER yummy!). Both kids woke up BEFORE 6:00 AM to see if the leprechaun had attempted to get the gold and all the while got caught in the trap. Well, the leprechaun did not disappoint-we didn't trap him, and he took off with the gold, however, he left a box of Lucky Charms and mint gum in the trap. Hope was so excited, "you don't let us buy this kind of cereal and now we get to eat it, don't we"?! Then Hunter went to the bathroom and saw that the leprechaun had used our bathroom...and forgot to flush...thus the green pee in the toilet. Needless to say, our morning was very exciting and we hadn't even left for school yet!
*********Now fast forward to my drive home that afternoon****************
Crushed. Mad. Angry. Yes, that is was I felt when I was informed that a sub that was in Hope's class told the ENTIRE class that the Tooth Fairy, Leprechauns, and Elves were NOT real! What?! Who would do that?! Needless to say, I left a message at Hope's teacher's house and then emailed her. I at least wanted to warn her what she may be walking into this morning. When Hope told Craig about what the sub had said at school, he asked her what she thought and she said that she believe because who else would have put those surprises under the trap? I was just thankful that she believed. I didn't ask her about it directly, but this morning I had asked who her sub was yesterday and she told me who it was and "guess what she told me". I asked her what she thought about that and she said "mom...who else would have given me Lucky Charms, gum and a headband? I know you don't have the money for that!" -LOL! She cracks me up! Anyway, I was able to communicate with her teacher today. I explained my concerns. And she pulled Hope aside and spoke to her (Hope ADORES her teacher and calls her "the smartest woman alive"). So, between all of us talking with Hope, she still believes in the Leprechaun, Tooth Fairy and Elves (and let me say...that was a wee bit to close to the Big Man at the North Pole!)! Whew!!!!!!!!!!!
